Selecting a Call Command
Once the system call commands have been setup in System Call Commands, this option can be used to
execute the commands.
The screen will display a descriptive list of the commands, so that
the appropriate one can be selected. This provides access to
information on running the computer outside SRM software, without
knowing the technical command, such as list directory, or show
users logged on.
To select a system call command, use the Arrow Keys to move the cursor into the Y Column. Then move the cursor next to the desired command and press <ENTER> to run the command.
Alternatively, access the System Call Commands from the OPTION prompt from any menu. At the OPTION prompt, press Window Key, then press Right Arrow once, and press Window key again. This will open Printer Selection menu first, then the Systems Call Command window.
Quitting a Call Command
If the information displayed runs for several screens, as in List Directory, to quit out of the command before it reaches the end, press Q <ENTER> to quit. The prompts are: Press <ENTER> to Continue and then it will exit the screen display, back to the first screen.
Accessing the System Call Commands from the Options Window
Access the System Call Commands from any standard menu, such as GL/AR/AP etc. At the OPTION prompt, press the Window key to open the printer selection menu. Then press Right Arrow once to move the cursor into the Y (YES) column. Now press Window key again to make the second window appear for the System Call Commands.
From this window, select any of the System Call Commands. To select a command, use the Arrow Keys to move the cursor into the Y (YES) column next to the desired command. Then press <ENTER> to execute the command.
